The Sub - U74

This is video of the wreck of U74 (Type UE1). A minelaying submarine from WW1. She lies in 40m, 3miles off Dunbar in the Firth of Forth - Scotland. A fantastic little wreck. Half the wreck is buried in mud, but the bow and conning tower are intact. The UE1 type coastal minelayers are thought to be responsible for the sinking of two famous vessels - The HMHS Brittanic (off Kea) and the HMS Hampshire (off Orkney)
