Another fatal collision, the Paul is lost (19th century)

Everything has been lost with the steamer Paul, sank in collision  in the English Channel. She was a luxury packet ship on her way from London to Le Havre and New York with many passengers on board.

She sank in 20 fathoms of water with a large and valuable cargo, including 15 tons of tin in blocks and a lot of specie from the passengers going to invest in America.
