Starting files for a serious salvor..! The City I

Loss of the steam packet City (19th century)

The packet City was wrecked off Peniche in Portugal due to intense fog. Some considerable property was succesfully salvaged but the main stock in value of £ 30.000 was lost as the vessel started to break up fast.

Passengers and crew safely landed, but the state-carriages, baggage, books and dresses of the Queen of Portugal were irrecovably lost.
