Disappearance of the Cruz (19th century)
The brick Cruz had left Genoa for Gibraltar 4 month ago, but never reached her destination. 14 bodies from the ship, floating together, were found at sea by a passing vessel.
She had on board a considerable cargo of specie in gold and silver, as well as gold ore and bars.
